Yeah, more likely he picked up the fact that tarot packs have a death card from the old Bond movie "Live and Let Die". He would seem the type to have watched them all.

One thing for sure the cops won't catch her unless she trips up or gets turned in.

I doubt the white panel van story. A white panel van is probably the most generic vehicle near every murder that has been committed since the invention of the combustion engine.
