" It's been my position that the invasion wouldn't be too much trouble ".

My position has always been to go through process that is currently underway, almost verbatim.

My position has been to proceed to the next level only if the inspection process fails.

My position has been that it will not be a cakewalk, but totally doable.

But where the lack of predetermination comes in is:

1. the type of attack

2. the allies in the region

3. the attitude of the IRAQ people themselves

4. the IRAQ collateral damage the public will accept

5. the Western losses the public is willing to accept

6. the costs

7. the aftermath

8. the regional Arab repercussions

9. the terrorist activity during and after

10. the implications for Israel

Call it my top ten list.<G>
