yeah, it happens, has been happening for a very long time. it works as long as the person in question doesn't get involved in meaningful conversation.

then the differences become immediately apparent, lol.

So You Are Saying Only The Stupid People Said " Sure "?

LOLOL!!!Too funny.

It would be interesting to know the demographics, as the South generally knows much less than the North about Canada.
So if the Northerners are saying nay and the Southerners are saying yea, I would agree with you.The opposite would possibly indicate the informed were responding favourably.

RE: Americans to Europe etc........

This has been going on for at least 25 years or more, and it isn't only Europe.Backpacks with visible Canadian flags are a big item for the Lonely Planet types. The smart ones actually learn a little about Canada before they go, just in case, as people in far flung places tend to know more about us than the average American.HA HA HA!

We are seen as less threatening and more Worldly in knowledge by most other people on the planet. Our social values and propensity to mind our own bidness, among many other things, are looked upon favourably in third world countries. Our very high rating as a good place to live helps too I would imagine.

My impression from your response is you would be in the Nay percentile.Care to elaborate?
