Therein lies a very good reason for "increased" volume on certain days - blocks of shares or share amounts are more often determined by the dollar amount, not the number of shares. As long as MFs and individuals trade in the same dollar amounts as they did, say a year ago, there is going to be more VOLUME. The trouble is that volume is not going to be indicating what we think it should.
