Max, I sure hope Welbourn is ready to go Sunday.

The Eagles special teams should get a boost Sunday with the expected return of backup safeties Rashard Cook and Michael Lewis, who have been hampered by knee and hamstring injuries, respectively. Both are listed as probable for Sunday.

Meanwhile, the offensive and defensive line may each welcome back a starter.

Guard John Welbourn, who has been out since he suffered a fractured fibula in the season-opening loss to Tennessee, practiced Monday and is listed as questionable.

One of the line's best pass-blockers, Welbourn has had success in the past in neutralizing Tampa defensive tackle Warren Sapp.

If Welbourn can't go, Doug Brzezinski will assume his duties.

Also questionable is defensive tackle Corey Simon, who has missed the last two games after suffering his high ankle sprain against the Cowboys.

In Simon's absence, the Eagles defense has been stout against the run, but his inside pass rush could help open up more opportunities for end Hugh Douglas.

Simon was in uniform Monday and optimistic he'll be able to go this weekend.

Rouding out the injury report... defensive end Derrick Burgess is out, and rookie center/guard Scott Peters is listed as doubtful. He is still recovering from mono.
