There's no seal on a Dell box. The manual tells you how to open it in case you want to add RAM, vid card etc. Can't see why Dell would have lied about what chip was in the machine. The difference to them in chip prices would have been nominal, not worth getting into a hassle over. Michael Dell has always struck me as a straight shooter. Of course somebody might have goofed I guess.
