OTOT

MHA, actually you hit on a very important thing here. I wish that the U.S. would drop all aid to Saudi Arabia and let the princes fall. That is the greatest disservice to the region we have ever perpetrated. That's one thing that has me sick to death. Our country is so short sighted. If we thought long term, we'd realize that we shouldn't prop up governments like Saudi Arabia's princes. It just puts an unnatural barier to rule by the people for the people. So again, good point.

However, if the princes of Saud fell, what kind of government would take its place? An Islamic state? I hope not. It would be replacing one autocratic regime with another. Rule by Sharia is just plain barbaric.

BTW, here's a quote from the guy who most Arabs in the Middle East think is a hero:
"We congratulate the Islamic Nation on the bold heroic jihad operations that her children ... the mujahedeen in Yemen against the crusader's oil tanker and in Kuwait against the enemy troops and the American occupation," bin Laden is quoted as saying in the statement.
