Novak: Hawkish civilians, in and out of the government, have been suggesting that Saddam Hussein's elite Republican Guard will throw up its arms in surrender. No serious person believes that. Reminds me of this other post: No sane, mature person is pleased by the idea of war. #reply-18100284 Unfortunately, by all indications, serious, sane, mature people don't seem to be the ones running things these days. Oh well.
