I have a story too. Many years ago an Italian friend of mine went out hunting. For a couple of hours he missed everything he aimed at.

Then he noticed that his dog had disappeared. Ten minutes later the dog returned with a large cowpat, which it placed at my friend's feet. It then gave him a look of deep contempt.

OT - Some years ago two of my buddies took me on a deer hunt south of Leech Lake, Minnesota. Not being much of a deer hunter, I brought along my waterfowl gear just in case.

We stalked the bush for two days with nary a buck in sight. I started talking up my expertise with duck decoys, and convinced them to join me in a duck hunt. We set up before dawn in a wide marshy area of the Boy River downstream from Inguadona Lake. Soon after sunrise, a party of deer hunters worked the opposite shore. They spooked three nice bucks, which swam right across the water toward us... and right through my decoys!
