OT - Another in the same vein...

My buddy and I were out duck hunting on one of those beautiful blue-sky days of October. The kind where the shoreline is rimmed with crimson/yellow autumn foliage, and flocks of divers loiter on the open water with sunlight flashing off the sides off the drakes.

My pal got bored and decided to hunt squirrels, so I dropped him off on shore and paddled back out to my hiding spot. A boat motored across the lake, and all the small flocks of bluebills took wing. They merged into one large flock of several hundred, circled the lake, and headed straight for my decoys. They came in picture perfect, and I took a pair. But my friend could only watch from out of range.
