I'm in because I waited too long to get out.
I am long because I would lose about $50000. My 401K is tied up in Lor. Much of what I hear from employees is speculation because of the secrecy. The mood is gloomy. People are looking for jobs. Never met Bernie, But I know I pissed him off real good, which is why I'm no longer there. I was layed off in June, for posting on Silicon Investor. You can read my posts from Aug.'01 - Feb. '02. That will explain why

But Bernie isn't a "failure." He sold Loral's (our company's) only profitable businesses -- aircraft brake and replacement parts -- to himself a few years back. He stripped out the proven money maker and left us with the speculative cash burner. He's still rich.

PREFERRED EXCHANGE IS REALLY A BUY-BACK OF STOCK!
Ask any stockbroker. If Bernie was intending to go BK with the company, he wouldn't care about a preferred conversion or who was standing in line for assets. This conversion is nothing more than a company buying back its stock. Bernie has a plan. It may be a sale of assets, but something is brewing or why else would he buy back stock?
