I saw the handwriting on the wall when a local casino in Fahrt MackMurrhay went tits up in 1995. People don't like gambling that much. What they like are vacations at ritzy places. That is why Las Vegas succeeded. It was close to a population base and was the centre for famous names.

The reasons the casino is failing are:

1. lack of marketing (as a destination resort.)
2. lack of ancillary activities and image
3. money dearth -- recessionary fears
4. competition from the stock market. The world's biggest casino to lose money in.

The Casino north of Toronto is succeeding. This is because it is a few decaminutes drive from 4.8 million souls with nothing to do for entertainment. (Toronto is one of the most entertainment free cities on the planetoid next to Stalingrad.)

"Greenspan just didn't pump enough M-1 cash into the system last Wednesday..."

I've been looking around for data on daily changes to M1, but can't find it. It has been mentioned here and there that Greenspan pumped a lot of money into the system last Wednesday, but I can't seem to find that daily data.

Does anyone here know where that can be found?

Thx,
ig
