This is what I found on the TV site, and also MSNBC>>>>Obviously, there is a lot more on the sites, but pulled these pieces out.... So many odd things....why would a "girlfriend" shoot the guy, and why would there be sniper info, shooting gear, bullets, and a sign, plus tarot cards....BTW, they spelled Jihad wrong... Now, if the card the police has if from the same deck as the one in the van....that would be grounds I'd think to put maybe both of them in a cell for a bit while they sort things out....thewbalchannel.com Spokesman: No Connection To Baltimore Shootings A spokesman for the task force seeking information on the serial sniper who has killed eight people and wounded two in the Washington, D.C., said there is no connection to a shooting in Baltimore over the weekend. Baltimore police say a 37-year-old former Marine was shot by his girlfriend this weekend in his southwest Baltimore apartment. Citing police sources, Baltimore television station WBAL reported earlier on Monday that inside the apartment, police found an AR-15 rifle, shell casings and ammunition along with a book about snipers. The man, who is not considered a suspect in the sniper shootings, was treated and released from a Baltimore hospital. Police contacted him again Monday and he agreed to come in for questioning. After the most recent sniper shooting, which took the life of a 53-year-old Philadelphia man Friday at an Exxon gas station in Fredericksburg, Va., authorities said they received information that a white van was seen leaving the scene of several of the shootings, including Friday's crime scene. Investigators have searched the interior of the van, where they found radios, according to the WBAL report. There was also an unusual message taped to one of the van's windows, and police asked the TV station not to reveal the contents of the message. The federal bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is examining the rifle and the ammunition. 88888888888888888888888888888888888msnbc.com The woman, described as a white female, was fatally shot in the head while walking to her car just before 9:30 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot of the Seven Corners Shopping Center, a 450,000-square-foot strip shopping center with a parking garage. Ellen Qualls, a spokeswoman for Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, told NBC News that the woman was shot to death with her husband standing next to her. They were loading items into the trunk of their car. - - - - - - - HALF-DOZEN SUSPECTS NBC’s Bloom reported that, as of Monday night, police had at least half a dozen potential suspects under around-the-clock surveillance. Oct. 14 — Some in Congress say a national database, called a “ballistic fingerprint system,” would make it easier to trace the gun. But would it work? NBC’s Pete Williams reports. Bloom said that, on a white eraser board inside the building where the investigation is based, is a list of about two dozen potential suspects. Some names are being added, others dropped off, but at least six individuals are being watched constantly. - - - - -
