Presumably.... I also think that one of EMC's newest board members may have considerable input into the new compensation packages which I assume follows the EMC historical pattern of aggressive compensation plans. For example, EMC was able to convince a top IBM executive to take the Global Sales position (3rd highest paying position at EMC) in 1996 or 1997 and my understanding is that he was instrumental in recruiting many IBM sales, technical and service personnel to EMC as it went from less than $2B in sales in 1995 to nearly $9B in sales in 2000.

Windle B. Priem

Windle B. Priem is the Vice Chairman and a Director of Korn/Ferry International, an executive recruiting agency, and completed a two-year term as Korn/Ferry's President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2001. Mr. Priem serves as a Trustee of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a member of the Board of Overseers of the Lahey Clinic. He is a member of EMC's Audit Committee and Executive Compensation and Stock Option Committee, and became an EMC Director in December 2001.
