His [Arafat's] opposition might disagree with you Oh yeah? Name them. It might be a little difficult to "provide social services" to his people when he is holed into his little building, incommunicado with the outside world, under heavy bombing most of the time, though :) And what was his excuse from 1994 through 2000, when over 95% of the Palestinian population was under his direct jurisdiction?
