OTOT Keep spouting the Islamic extremist propaganda. I'm sure you don't have any detailed knowledge of what the US was planning. The funny thing is that oil is all the Middle East has and they have done a piss poor job of using that gift. The Middle East could be a paradise with the amount of money that flows into it. Instead it is a backwards, poverty stricken region. Why is that? A typical Islamic extremist will of course blame the U.S. I say that Middle Easterners will never improve until they demand democratic leadership and join the rest of civilization in the way they express their voice...that means peaceful change, not terrorism.
