China is perfectly placed to develop GSM1x with very low cost handset devices, create a huge market and Europe will then swing over. China is becoming the world leader in telecommunications.

Maybe Nokia can form a joint venture with a Chinese company to produce GSM1x. They'd better. Maybe they already have and it's old news.

This is a heck of a lot of fun that's begun. 1.3 billion Chinese in China and Ramsey and LazyLakers etc in California [and Aaron Chan still asleep in the spare room]. Chinese are going to use a LOT of CDMA.

If anywhere needs capacity, it's China. Swarms of people all wanting cyberspace on the hoof but with no more spectrum in the crowded streets of Shanghai than there is in Eketahuna [where there are about 100 sheople and 1000 sheep].

With RoamAD technology for Wi-Fi in 2.4GHz, with QUALCOMM 1xEV-DV, in multimode, multiband devices using radioOne, BREW, gpsOne and all that good stuff, it's going to be an amazing cyberspace world in China.

Europe will have a similar relationship to China as it did in the Dark Ages.
