"There is a connection between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein," said Mr. Bush, who warned that Saddam may soon use al Qaeda "to do his dirty work."

The President and his Cabinet foresaw this development more than two months ago. Now we have seen more of the evidence.

IMO, the President and his Cabinet are like King Arthur and the Knights and Dames of the round table, fair and just to all people. It truly is a modern day Camelot.

I think Secretary Powell is one of the great Americans of all time. It is clear to me that I am one of the slaves to his greatness. Forgot to say this awhile ago due to the overwhelming number of both good and bad “signs” on my radar.

This previous post.

David, not all Arabs are the same. Also, Al-Jazeera is not "state run propaganda" in my opinion.
I like the Saudi’s, and I trust the Saudi’s to make the right decision. They must see the astonishing historical parallels between Hitler and Saddam. Either that, or they have a very very good intelligence gathering capability, and see something I don’t see.

IMO, as soon as Saddam has a nuclear weapon as insurance, he will retake Kuwait, and then Saudi Arabia as revenge for his defeat in the Gulf war. Hitler did almost the exact same thing when he absorbed Czechoslovakia (Kuwait) and then conquered France (Saudi Arabia)as revenge for Germany's loss in World War 1. If Saddam follows the historical parallels, he will then betray Iran (Soviet Union), and invade Iran. I think this is exactly what Saddam is planning, because in the past he has only shown a very rudimentary grasp of strategy, and he can read this strategy from a history book.

Saddam may even take advantage of what I believe to be the weakness in the Saudi’s strategy. IMO, one of the reasons the Saudi’s have supported Wahhabism, is to act as a partial defense against the unholy Saddam. Now Saddam is harboring members of Al-Qaeda that want to control the Islamic Holy Land. It is possible that Saddam will make a deal, or has already made a deal with Al-Qaeda to support his conquest of Saudi Arabia. Saddam would get the oil fields in exchange for allowing Al-Qaeda to control the rest of Saudi Arabia.

IMO, this is the reason why Saddam must not be allowed to have ANY offensive weapons. If Saddam has nuclear weapons, and achieves his goal of conquest, the cost of liberating Kuwait and Saudi Arabia may be too high a price for the world to pay IMO.

Can there be any other reason why he fails to give up his offensive weapons?
