<<If we want to play a game of semantic's; a Dead Cat Bounce is just that... and a Rally is a Rally... and this isn't one yet imho.

The DOW is still clearly in a downward channel>>

Sorry Slider, we are out of the downward channel. Dips are being bought. Just like at NASD 5000, the markets can turn even when you think nothing has changed. Don't get trapped thinking you can keep doing the same thing, like so many did at the top. Step back and look at the forest and not just the trees! Not saying we are going straight up but the channel forming is up, not just a DCB imho.

The press is working it as "Rocktober", the best October in 20 years. A bear busting rally.

[ If 8750 is taken out... I wouldn't quibble about anyone calling this a "rally". ]

No doubt (and likely).

Longer term, waiting for Gold to make new highs (by next spring), selling on major move up, shorting metals into October 2003.
