You can evaluate things negatively without blame. I think that is what Karen has been trying to say, repeatedly. Do you feel you cannot evaluate things negatively without blame? Because I think you can. In fact as a manager, or a teacher, I think you must do this. To constantly blame or make people feel guilty is not, imo, the way to maximum productivity.
