Why can't you evaluate actions and products of actions negatively, and give constructive advice for remediation? That seems to me to recognize that people are responsible (and are capable of improving), yet to avoid blame. I don't see the point of blame. Obviously it has some point to you, but to me it has none. If you tried to blame me for something I'd see you as a person bringing no value to the party. However if you came to me and said "I have a problem with your performance in this area and that is ________, and here are some things I would like you to do about that..." I would listen to you, think you were a rational person, and if your suggestions made sense I would take them.
