That isn't the way it works, Don. If they are tied within the margin of error,it is called a statistical dead heat.

What is a "sniper rifle"? Anyway, I am not in a position to speak for the NRA, being neither a member, nor having ever owned a gun.......

The sniper could just as well be using a hunting rifle.

In fact, a friend of mine's father used to hunt with a ruger mini-14. A .223 caliber rifle with a scope. He is elderly and could no longer carry his old remington.

Brought down an 8 pt in the fall of 2000 with it.

The gun wasn't even cold from the first murder when the teary eyed anti-first amendment pukes started sniffing "Isn't it worth trashing the Constitution and our birth right if it saves one life?!?!?!?!"

isn't it time for the NRA to make a strong statement about the god given right to own sniper rifles.

In fact, how do you know it is even a rifle....?

Could be a pistol....its a .223 round being used....
