I don't think MSFT will go poof with all their cash. But they do need some new rev generators.

AOL got in trouble for having 25% of their revenues being internally generated. MSFT generates over 50% internally for MSN.
A small, but growing, portion of their business.

I've been reading that a number of their smaller revenue lines are losing cash. Lines they were hoping to grow. MSN and MSNBC were horrible investments for MSFT.
