Policemen and firemen lose their jobs here. Plus, there have been corporate announcements of layoffs
locally in the past week. The downturn may have only begun.

I have read that auto manufactures may wind up in trouble because of the no-interest loans. Plus, so
many people are losing their jobs that they won't have the money to buy a car. In the meantime,
local property taxes and other taxes go up to cover basic costs.

And Cheney won't even pay his share for his own electricity bills at his Washington home!! He
complained about the price fluctuations when electricity prices were manipulated a couple of years
ago so Congress let the government pick up the tab!
