I wouldn't worry about what to call it, but to debate facts.

It's like the term "assassination" vs "murder". The facts are that US citizens are being killed by terrorists, snipers and anthrax. And politicians are being influenced by these events, sometimes directly like the demo leadership with anthrax forcing immediate passage of important bills without debate, and all of congress by the sniper incidents eliminating ad-hoc outdoor news and reducing citizen protests in Washington.

Whether to call it assassination is determined by the political consequences and motives of those behind the killings. The facts of the incidents, and of the political timing and consequences are of more import than terminology, which can better be assigned with 20/20 hindsight.

Obviously, I'm a skeptic of gov't actions and statements...
If the gov't were the stock market, I'd be Grant <g>
