Adam,

Comparing to 2001, a miserable year, isn't really relevant to Intel's stock price. You need to go back to 2000, 1999 and before to justify higher valuations. Look at those quarterly eps numbers:

The only reason GAAP earnings are up so much is that in 2001 they included amortization of goodwill and in 2002 they don't.
