Do you honestly believe that if guns were outlawed in this country this deranged killer wouldnt have found a way to get his hands on one??

if you look at my post, i was countering GVTucker's claim that the number of guns is unrelated to the number of homicides. this implies that if there were zero guns, then the number of homicides would be the same (there were over 12,000 firearm-related murders in the US in 1998, among a total of more than 30,000 firearm-related deaths).

therefore, my argument is about what the sniper would have done if there were ZERO guns.

and i find it hard to believe that somebody as intensely tracked as this sniper, using his MO, could have taken somebody out from a distance of hundreds of yards last night at Home Depot and made a clean escape if he weren't using a gun.
