Hi Colleen.

How have you been? I still trade stocks - do web page stuff. I have been trying my hand at writing about theology etc. I've been spending a fair amount of time studying eschatolgy and the book of Revelation in particular. I have not hung myself, although that would make a few ungodly souls happy I'm sure. The reason I have not been posting is that when I evaluate the value of doing so in this format - it falls far behind the value of the other things I am doing. Since I am human and limited by time and space and a full time job and 9 children with one more on the way and a wife who says she is a computer widow. I must also consider what Christ Himself both did and said:

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Mark 4:34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

The apostles asked Jesus why He spoke in parables to people. They presumed that Christ would want His message heard by all - and likely also presumed that God loved everyone. This is what Jesus said to them:

Matthew 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Jesus also said this:

Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

I no longer believe that I need to try and share with the people here. I am not saying anything against you - nor am I saying that everyone here is an unworthy swine - but I am saying that there are a lot of dogs in this format. People whom Christ has no intention of granting salvation or understanding - whose only purpose in life is to offer persecution to the elect of God and work evil and lies all their days.
Jesus taught that a lot of people who think they are saved will be condemned

Matthew 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

These kind of people hate me. They cast out demons and attack the elect. They do miracles and have no love for God's law. Christ has no interest in them - I have no interest in them. They think they are saved and are likely less harm in that state of mind that they would be if they knew the truth about themselves.

No Colleen I have not hung myself at all - I am enjoying the blessings of God and happy to be learning of Him and drawing closer to His grace. As for the stocks, they are not doing as well as I would have hoped but in these down markets I'm not doing too bad. I have some good positions that I expect to work out quite nicely in the near future. I also have some stocks that have done better than a triple.

In any case - there you have it - my posts on SI have been about 'investments' for the last couple of years. They have been short and sweet and easy. Small talk. That was what the threads were originally intended for anyway. I am not ashamed of the gospel - nor am I defeated by the swine. I just have better things to do than wrestle with them. If I honestly thought I was helping anyone I may have continued. I became aware of the fact that I was preaching to the choir. There are a couple of elect in here that could hear my voice but most could not or would not. That is no loss to me.

John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that HEAR thee.

In any case - take care - God grant you understanding, peace and grace.
