We will rally and then march to the White House. DRIVING DIRECTIONS For detailed driving directions to DC, go to mapquest.com and enter "Constitution Ave. and 21st St. NW" as your destination. BUS/VAN/CAR DROP-OFF The rally gathering site is at 21st St. and Constitution Ave. NW; this is Constitution Gardens adjacent to the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial. Buses and vans can drop passengers off at this location. Buses cannot park here, but they can pull up and unload on the south side of Constitution Ave. BUS PICKUP After an opening rally at the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial, we will march to the White House, and then march back to our starting location. So bus pick up will be the same location as bus drop off: 21st St. and Constitution Ave. NW. BUS PARKING Buses can park at RFK stadium. The cost of parking for the day will be $30 and buses must pay when they enter the parking lot. The bus drivers should indicate that they are with the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition event. The buses can remain there for the day. A map of RFK stadium showing the parking areas can be found at dcsportscommission.com . RFK Stadium is located in southeast DC and can be reached by driving East on Independence Ave. towards the Anacostia River (the stadium is located just past 19th St. SE). Please note: Buses should not travel to RFK Stadium before dropping off passengers. Large groups taking the metro from RFK to the rally site will be very time consuming and result in passengers being late for the march. Please drop all passengers off at the rally site and return to the rally site for pick up. VAN/CAR PARKING INFORMATION It may be possible to find street parking for cars and vans. The earlier you arrive, the more likely it is that you will find a parking space, as they fill up fast (this is a busy area for tourists). Most meter spaces in this area do not have to be paid on Saturdays. If you are unable to find street parking, there are several parking lots within 3/4 of a mile of the rally site. Those lots only take cars. To park vans, you will have to drive to a parking lot slightly farther away. A list of area parking lots for cars and vans can be found by going to internationalanswer.org and scrolling down to "van/car parking information." PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN DC The closest metro station to 21st St. and Constitution Ave. NW (Constitution Gardens adjacent to the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial) is the Foggy Bottom-GWU stop on the blue/orange line. From there, it is a 3/4 mile walk to the site (walk south on 23rd St., then turn left on Constitution Ave. and walk two blocks to 21st St.). Volunteers will be stationed at the Foggy Bottom metro station to help direct people to the site. For a DC metro map, go to wmata.com . For directions from your starting location, click here to use the "plan your trip" feature on the DC Metro website. Just enter your starting location and "21st St. and Constitution Ave. NW" as your ending location, and you will receive detailed subway/bus directions.
