That was for close-in shots. I guess you better try one of those sights -- you can't even see the spot during daylight at a fair distance. Those are frequently seen during close-in SWAT situations. Now if you are talking about the internally lit, spot-type sights used in dim light and the dark -- well now you are talking fast acquisition and accurate; but they still have to be sighted in and you have to be able to see your target. The target is totally unaware he is being selected and there is no intimidating red light dancing around his head.
