Osama has his own ideology, first he was fighting the Soviets on CIA payroll, then things changed and he started fighting the US. Are his acts of violence approved by Sharia - no way, absolutely NOT. Lots of Arabs see their goverments as opressive (true in almost all cases) and some of them also see presence of US troops as an insult to their honor (quite strange, given so many other things happening around them). Remember most Arab countries including Saudi Arabia have two sets of laws, one for the rich kings/princess and one for the laymen. He is using all this to rally support. Killing of children, women, old people is strictly prohibited in Islam. Even these suicide bombings are wrong and against the teachings. I agree with other posts there is a lot to blame on the muslims themselves, mislead and lack of teaching...
