I have a hunch that a sniper in the capital may be easier to find than Saddam (who knows how to hide things and has several 'look alikes' or decoys).

I have a hunch that none of us would want to live in a world where the internal security system enabled us to quickly find this sniper. Talk about "big brother"... I know that I wouldn't. However, that said, it does make a greater case for gun laws that permit properly trained and screened individuals to carry their own weapons, including concealed. A friend of mine who lives very close to the last shooting is packing her new .357 concealed.

As for Saddam... I look at it like the way we chased down Noriega. If Saddam's in hiding, he ain't governing... And if he ain't governing, he's not in control.

And it would only be a matter of time before one of the rival clans in Iraq (the ones seeking to advance their power at the expense of the Takriti clan) would find him for us.
