Santi,

Oh, that is very clear in the Bible. No interpretation issues as far as I am concerned in this verse. The scripture...

James 3
1 Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

So to your question, "What would God do to chasten for preaching the wrong doctrine to the flock?" Well, firstly, let me this point perfectly clear, if you teach erroneously, it is not a salvation issue. If you believe in Christ alone as your Lord and Savior, your saved, period.

What one must consider though who teaches, if they enter in to teaching, they will be held to a higher standard. So one must not take teaching lightly. And if you are teaching on something you are not 100% sure of, you better tell your students that caveat. But if you teach something, telling people you are certain of it, and you are wrong, I think the verse speaks for itself.

I don't know honestly how anyone could be 100% sure, especially in regard to this subject. I always look upon someone that is 100% sure, questionably.

God Bless,
IGIT
