To tell you the truth, it might be better to wait until Saddam launches a scud from an oil tanker. Our defense system would probably down the missile. This particular topic was about lying, Iraq happened to be the subtopic. You want to shift to farm subsidies? Bush was opposed to farm subsidies, yet proposed increased farm subsidies by 65%. He supports free trade, yet threw tariffs on Canada twice for soft lumber and a whole number of other countries on steel. Constitutional "issues" on campaign finance reform...signed it. Oh, I forgot, you are against the missile defense system too. I happen to be opposed to BMD because it's worthless, we figured that out in the 80's that's why the program for all practical purposes ended. While there are ballistic missiles in existance, the world [inc. the US] is moving towards cruise missiles. They're cheaper and easier to develop. Even Cheney cited that there are 38 countries that either have or are developing cruise missiles and BMD even if you could solve all the problems are worthless against a cruise missile attack. So we're spending billions on a system that most likely will not work and even if it does will be obsolete by the time it's deployed. jttmab
