FDR by executive order declared "The United States corporation for the District of Columbia" bankrupt in 1933. Playing right into the hands of the international banking cartel, as a country we ran out of gold to pay the fraudulent interest and principal payments on what we devolving into becoming the fractional reserve banking system we have today.
And in the Erie vs. Tomkins case of 1938 the banking cartel had their case to completely seal-us off from the Constitutionally respectful Common Law courts. We've been operating under "courts of equity" ever since which operate under Maritime Law - effectively wartime, martial law - to administer "the bankrupcy" of the USA, Inc. against We The People for the benefit of the international banking cartel.
Against the backdrop of a well orchestrated full-blown worldwide depression, during the top secret Geneva conventions (1928-1932) the international banking cartel basically forced France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany and the United States to declare bankrupcy.
And after Roosevelt was elected one of the first things he did after signed the executive orders declaring the USA corporate bankrupcy was to make it illegal for private individuals to hold gold. Both of these acts were blatently unconstitutional. But it didn't stop there. Dragging our glorious country into socialism through the tiny eye of the needle in the "general welfare clause" - see Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.

It's really laughable Thomas to find you and so many other individuals completely taken, hook line and sinker, for the distraction that passes for representative democracy in Washington D.C. Just so you know, our country tis of thee is NOT a representative democracy!! It's a Republic of free and sovereign states that are servants to the powers granted by the consent of We The People. And the Federal Government's power are strictly limited by those outlined in Article 1 Section 8...

To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively, the appointment of the officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
To exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square) as may, by cession of particular states, and the acceptance of Congress, become the seat of the government of the United States, and to exercise like authority over all places purchased by the consent of the legislature of the state in which the same shall be, for the erection of forts, magazines, arsenals, dockyards, and other needful buildings;--And

The Federal Government does not have ANY legal power beyond the those enumerated above as granted above. Any and all activities, affairs, programs, agencies, schemes that extend outside of the "Federal District" are, by definition, totally unconstitutional.
But I'm getting ahead of ourselves. We've been brainwashed by our controlled media to actually believe in the illusion of this outlaw federal government power ruling over the subservient states that rule over We The People. This is the result of years and years of the two-party system corrupting the Republic at it's very core, turning our Presidency into the equivalent of a 4-8 year British Royalty Show where we bow, curtsy and worship this insane inversion-perversion of power that, long ago, totally ran amoke and which is operating outside the Constitution.
But the more the talking heads on CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS nod, argue, judge, point and dance in front of us the more we actually believe this in this Wizard of Oz quackery. And the more we are distracted into actually believing that the 2-party system is "the only way to go" we lose more and more of our constitutional moorings which are founded on belief in a Divine Providence from a benevolent Almighty Creator from which we derive ALL of our inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
So WAKE UP Thomas and others!!
The corrupt control wagons circled, highjacked and have held hostage this great Republic since the first shot was fired in the Civil War. Power and might superceding right reared it's ugly head in that war compelling and forcing the south to submit to the control of the north "for the sake of the union." But behind the scenes the same international bankers were financing both sides against one another. And when Lincoln found out about this fraud he was furious. Like Jackson and Van Buren before him and much later JFK, he openly defied the international bankers and allowed We The People to benefit from the direct control of money WITHOUT the need for us to pay usery interest on nothing.
The core fraud of our current system can be found in the banking and monetary systems that have be used to bribe and control the Wizards of Shill-Oz Charade that passes for representative government.
