Why do you people jabber without checking. Montgomery County officials made the request. They are leading the task force: For similar reasons to why people make points that have nothing to do with the post in question. jttmab

The request for military assistance came from Montgomery County and the FBI The official news of the Department of Defense did not state that. It stated exactly what I quoted in my post. I also checked the home page of the Governor of Maryland and did not find anything about a request. I should have checked the home page of the Mayor of the District of Columbia and the home page of the Governor of Virginia but I did not have time. That is why I asked. If the Post is accurate, it makes no difference that Montgomery County asked for assistance. The state of Maryland is the constitutional entity involved.
