Bill Clinton an ultra-leftist? Get real. The reason the Republicans so despised Clinton is that he beat them at their own game ... effectively governing from the center. Nina Totenberg? Get real. Let's compare her substance and style to, say, Rush Limbaugh. Which one is more "outside the box"? Of all you mentioned, you might make a case for Cynthia McKinney as being a bit outside the box. Everyone else, with maybe one or two other exceptions, is well within the box ... unlike DeLay, Scalia, Clancy Thomas, Jerry Falwell on and on and on.
