Disposable Cell Phones Featured at CTIA Expo

GARDEN GROVE, Calif., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hop-On (OTC: HPON), the leading developer of disposable and fully recyclable cell phones, today announced that its CDMA disposable cell phones are being featured at the CTIA Wireless IT and Internet Expo (http://www.ctia.org). The trade show, which runs from October 17th to the 18th at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, features the world's leading companies and innovations. The Company indicated that in addition to showcasing its disposable cell phone, it would be discussing rollout plans with potential partners, including domestic and international carriers.

Hop-On can be located at the Holley Communications booth. Holley Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of China's largest utility meter manufacturer, Holley Group Co. Ltd. The company diversified into cell phones in 2001 with the acquisition of the CDMA handset design team, the software development team, infrastructure, and the CDMA software protocol stack developed by Philips Semiconductors Inc., a division of Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG). In addition, Phillips Semiconductors transferred equipment, assets and intellectual property contained in handset reference designs.

Peter Michaels, Chairman and CEO of Hop-On, commented, "This is an exciting time for us given the announcement this morning of Hop-On's initial launch. From a logistics standpoint this event will allow us to get in front of a majority of the strategic partners we are targeting without the time delays and costs involved with traveling to their respective headquarters. We continue to build momentum but we are progressing cautiously as we try to ensure that Hop-On is effectively positioned to benefit from the potential global market for our phone products."
