I dunno strictly speaking. No expert on taxes. Your tax status usually only counts where your are living (working).

If you are abroad, and have to pay local taxes, this amount is approximately deducted from your USA taxes if you are a USA citizen.

i.e. it's not based on where your money is working. Companies overseas pay their own taxes etc. However, i am no expert on this matter.
