They are laying it on thick afterhours. Headlines on the newswire right after the MSFT earnings: "Tsy O'Neill: Thursday's Data `Quite Encouraging' To Econ" Was it the plunge in manufacturing data, the increase in new jobless claims, the drop in industrial production, or the explosion in jobless benefits claims that was encouraging? Maybe it was the 13.3% jump in housing starts he was talking about. You know what jobless, benefitless, debt laden consumers need right? Lots more expensive homes!
