I've known a few financial planner/MF sales types for a number of years through the local hockey league here. I always roll my eyes when they get to talking about their sales incentives programs -- usually it's trips around the world for them and the wife on the MF's nickel, which needless to say is actually the investor's nickel. These boyz don't often speak of putting people into particular funds because of a fund's performance, it's usually about what the trip deal is this year
