I don't remember all of the chipsets that BRCM provided to CSCO, but it was definitely in their DSL, Cable and their GigE and I think even 10GE.

At one time CSCO was BRCM's biggest customer. I don't know if that is still the case.

Cisco must have pulled a rabbit out of the hat to make their numbers, and we know they made them because its too late to warn. Chambers would have warned on either revenue or earnings I think to maintain credibility with the street. The only way cisco can pull revenue now is killing off the competition entirely which I think they've done. This is an incredible management team.

I would have expected more cautious comments out of Chambers if they were going to miss their numbers. He basically spoke about the marketplace in general is what I recall. They have been quiet lately and I take that as positive.
I agree with the idea that they are killing the competition. They have to compete with JNPR for carrier business but I believe they are basically a monopoly in the enterprise segment (a very significant percentage of their business).
That is a good place to be for this company, especially given the relative weakness of late. I think Csco can have an incredible run up ahead of earnings.

Hey Lizzie, actually Cisco is huge in wireless access points and cards for PCs. Plus they buy alot of equipment from BRCM. If BRCM did good, that's a very positive sign for Cisco.
