index options expire at the open..stock options at eod
we might get a slow bleed tomorrow but i'm betting the crunch comes monday.

I see others answered your question. I'll add though that I try to be out of long options well before they expire due to the rather obvious box you are in the closer you get to expiration. If I'm short the option, I love to ride them out and let the houses do my work for me.
