The White House accused North Korea of being in ``serious violation'' of the 1994 accord, in which North Korea pledged to dismantle its nuclear arms program in exchange for U.S. economic assistance. > King George II is going to have to get a grip here, calm down and forget about Condoleezza's 'strategic competitors' nonsense in regard to China. France is nuclear-armed, so is Pakistan, China, India, Israel, Britain, Russia and maybe some others hidden away here and there. If I was Hu Jintao, I think I'd be inclined to invite North Korea to stock a few China-produced nukes, just in case the belligerent USA confrontational embassy-bombing approach gets a bit over the top and turns outright thuggish. That would forestall a South Korean/Japanese/USA onslaught to finish off the war which ended in a truce half a century ago up there in Korea [which isn't all that far from Beijing]. Of course North Korea is a China allie. Of course China is supporting them, the same as the USA is supporting South Korea. I think Hu Jintao needs to invite King George II to Beijing for a familiarisation tour and to get acquainted and learn that China is really a civilized place, wanting only to live in peace, light, harmony, happiness, properity and mutual admiration and use lots and lots of lovely QUALCOMM CDMA cyberphones and to make and sell them around the world, paying big profits to QUALCOMM and therefore the USA government [via taxation of the company and employees]. China is not surprisingly somewhat circumspect about the threats from Japan, South Korea and the USA, having suffered half a century of mayhem and half a century of recovery during the 20th century. Japan wasn't the friendly, civilizing influence in China that the English were in New Zealand. In living memory, there are hordes of nightmares from the Japanese occupation, rape and torture of Chinese. I doubt that China is keen to have too much domination from the outside any time soon. If the USA is threatening to attack North Korea, it would not be surprising if North Korea was to deliver a nuke or two to Saddam, which would certainly distract the USA from getting up close and personal with North Korea in a hurry. There seem to be a lot of ruffled feathers these days. Thank goodness for good old Uncle Al KBE. Keeping his head and cool while all around him are coming apart at the seams. Mqurice
