Here is info from CSFB on front-end/back-end:

Deep decline in Front-End, Back-End Falls Further. Front-end bookings declined 22% MoM to $684.5m, billings -2% at $792.1, driving b:bill of 0.86. September data implies 30% FE QoQ bookings decline, inline with recent FE company reports, but potentially exaggerated with AMAT (40%+ of FE orders) likely down closer to 20-25%. Back-end bookings declined 3% to $138.1m and billings increased 5% to $192.6m, driving BE B:Bill of 0.72; fourth consecutive decline from May peak of 1.40. Sept. Q bookings also implies 30% QoQ BE bookings decline, probably understating BE orders with TER up 1% QoQ.
