the Columbia Ice Field between Banff and Jasper in Alberta?

Yes, on a trip to Banff (back in 1976) My wife and I and another couple were camping. Outside Jasper we went down a steep road and camped. It rained! and RAINED!. We couldn't get back up the road, so we just stayed there for two weeks in a very isolated valley. One day we hiked up to a ranger station on what turned out to be the day for their supply run, so they gave us a ride to get more food. They took us to part of the glacier. (We were camped just a few miles below the glacier and I can still remember bathing in that stream water - brrrr!).

Bet you're still mourning over the lost Manhattan glacier.
