I repeatedly underestimate your ignorance. There was no UN authority for an invasion of Iraq. There was no invasion. There is no authority for an invasion now. There is no legal basis for an invasion of Iraq -- not then, and not now. If we invade Iraq we would have the same legal standing as Iraq's invasion of Kuwait -- none whatsoever.

You wrote to me "I suppose the invasion that followed was illegal under your savvy interpretation of "international law". What I am telling you is common knowledge to EVERYBODY who is even slightly familiar with the facts about Iraq, Kuwait, the UN and the US. You are simply too ignorant and poorly informed to have an intelligent opinion.

"They must be war crimes!" If the US invades Iraq without UN authority then the US would be subject to the same international law on war crimes as everybody else.
