Leaders From The Street Take Financial Experts Head-On In
Two Hour Summit On The Market, Economic Shifts,

NBC News Anchor Brian Williams will meet some of the leading voices on Wall Street for MSNBC's "Summit on Wall Street," which will telecast live on Sunday, October 20 from 8-10 p.m. ET.

The "Summit on Wall Street," from the historic, original Bank of New York Building in downtown Manhattan, will examine the driving forces behind the ups and downs of the stock market, the impact of imminent military action against Iraq, and offer insight to average Americans, many of whom have lost their retirement savings, on what they can expect to see with respect to investing in the market. Panelists include: Eliot Spitzer, Attorney General for the State of New York; David Boies, attorney representing Tyco International and best known for his work as Special Counsel to the U.S. Dept. of Justice in its antitrust suit against Microsoft; Leo O'Neill, President, Standard & Poors, and Bob Hormats, Vice Chairman, Goldman Sachs International, John Gutfreund, Sr. Managing Director, C.E. Unterberg Towbin and former Chairman and CEO of Salomon Bros, and Tim Leach, Chief Investment Officer, Private Client Services, Wells Fargo.

In addition to the expert voices on the panel, the audience will also include 200 invited business executives, analysts, economists, government regulators, and market administrators. The panel will also take questions from the audience and from the Internet.

Additional guests on the program include Senator Paul Sarbanes (D-MD), and Jim Collins, author, "Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...and Others Don't".

"Summit on Wall Street" is the fifth in a series of Summit programs on urgent contemporary issues telecast live on MSNBC. Previous Summits were "Silicon Summits I, II and III" on the Internet and new technology, telecast last year, and "Summit for a Cure" on revolutionary breakthroughs in medicine, held earlier this year.

The executive producer for "Summit on Wall Street" is Dennis Sullivan. The special is produced by Andy Franklin and Scott Hooker.
