The only risk is to your credit score, which gets smacked every time you apply for a new card, for the irritating reason that that's the profile of declining creditworthiness in some people. FICO doesn't have statistical corrections for people who are smart enough to get 0% cards, and yet are still just as creditworthy as before.

Found that out when applying for r.e. loan and looked at the credit report. Went on for 6 pages of "never lates", yet the score was reduced.
