Glenn,

What is so unfortunate about all the media hype about Martha Stewart is the fact that proportionately, she's getting more bad press for a $40,000 transgression than the Enron crowd is getting for fleecing $50,000,000,000 out of the system either through outright theft or loss of value.

The differences in the cost to society are staggering, yet the media dutifully acts as a sisterhood of whores, all in lockstep to create the next victim of Scarlet Letter hysteria.

America needs to get a grip on reality. The Enron crowd did real damage to America. Martha has brought us a pleasant half hour of TV on a regular basis where decency prevails.

It is a disgusting thing to watch the jackals of the media chew on the wrong bones, because they've been told by their handlers to mis-direct the attention of an entire and entirely misinformed nation.

That is what is so disgusting to me. It's a sleight-of-hand propaganda maneuver to turn Ms. Stewart into a shell game distraction for the ire of the public.

I'm surprised that you, of all people, are falling for the con.

Peace, Ray
